Active Business Communications and its staff is proud to support various national and local charities as part of Active Giving. Our staff have helped to raise thousands of pounds in sponsor money for charities including Cancer Research UK, Breast Cancer Campaign and Children with Leukemia. In addition to this, we also provide sponsorship and communication support for our nominated charity, Francis House Children’s Hospice.
“Opened on the 25th November, 1991, by the late Princess Diana, Francis House provides care for children and young adults with life threatening conditions. The philosophy of the Rainbow Family Trust and Francis House flows from the belief in the sanctity of life and the dignity of the person. Whereas hospitals must focus on the curing of those who are ill, the hospice will focus on the care of those for whom a cure is unlikely. For every hour, the hospice needs £222 just to stand still – to pay for the fabric of the building, heating, lighting and so on, as well as paying for the care we provide such as nursing, physiotherapy and a whole range of specialist medical care.”
One way we help Francis House is by donating the proceeds from recycling old mobile phones. If you would like to support us in doing this, please send any unwanted handsets, whether they work or not, to: Mobile Phone Recycling, Active Business Communications Ltd, Innovation House, 12 – 13 Bredbury Business Park Bredbury Park Way Stockport SK6 2SN. We thank you for your support.
Active is also proud to support Manchester Irish Community Care, an organisation that offers a service to both the local Irish population and the broader local community. They offer a wide range of social activities for both the young and old, aiming to relieve the effects of poverty, social exclusion, sickness and inequality. We support the Irish Community Care Annual Dinner and look forward to continuing to do so in the future.
